NeMa Eatery & Lounge Brings New Flavor to Downtown Wilmington
Unique Restaurant Fuses Hand-Crafted Foods With Small Batch Wines & Craft Beer
Wilmington, N.C. – Residents of Wilmington should prepare themselves for a new flavor in town. Introducing NeMa Eatery & Lounge, the downtown waterfront’s latest restaurant.
NeMa has already created a core following with its selection of hand crafted menu items plus small batch wines and craft beers. The eatery offers familiar foods that are done a little differently – The lunch and dinner menu items range from grass fed burger with bacon jam to Thai chicken skewers with coconut curry sauce, and lots in between. The Garden pizza is a favorite, with garlic infused olive oil, caramelized onions, kale, pear, basil, mozzarella, parmesan, and gruyere, with balsamic reduction drizzle.
NeMa’s most popular pizza crusts are made in house, including a sourdough pizza crust that requires a 12-hour fermentation process, as well as a scratch made, gluten free Paleo pizza crust made of cauliflower. The Short Rib Ravioli, an original NeMa creation, are also made from scratch. And don’t forget about the delicious gluten-free desserts, such as the Trio of Brigadeiro Lollipop, a classic Brazilian treat, similar to a bonbon or truffle, which is rolled in dark chocolate, caramel brittle or toasted coconut.
The eatery, located at 225 South Water St. in Chandler’s Wharf, is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday-Sunday, and includes picturesque views of the Cape Fear River. The ambiance is very relaxed, with a beautiful wood bar and walls of cobblestone and brick.
